Thank you for your interest in one of the oldest non-profit organizations with an emphasis on children and their growth in this ever changing world. Our moto "One Child at a time" only scratches the surface of all we do. 

We have been serving the greater North Mason Community since 1962!

Below is a rundown of information on membership. Please feel free to attend one of our meetings as well.

Our Board (5:15p-6:00pm) & Club Biz meetings are on the First Tuesday of the month at Belfair Community Church @ 6pm.

Our Social w/a side of Biz meetings are on the Third Tuesday, Noon-1pm, with soup & salad for a $5.00 donation to offset costs.

Kiwanis Club of North Mason

Meeting Traditions:

1. We say the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of each official Kiwanis business meeting.
2. Sometimes we sing a patriotic American song followed by “Oh Canada,” because our Kiwanis Club is a member of Kiwanis International and the Pacific Northwest District, which includes British Columbia & Yukon Territory of Canada.
3. Kiwanian of the Day is an identified member of our Club who secretly passes the honor onto another member before the next official meeting.  The Kiwanian of the Day is fine-free for the day, and has free time to share something.
4. Two Dollar Bill is given to the member with the best handshake and/or hug during greeting time.  It is given during the meeting.
5. Fines and Happy/Sad Bucks is time for members to share something special or sad as our way of building community with each other.  You can pay $1 or more to advertise something special to inform our membership.  Fines are only $.25.  The Fine Master often accesses fines to members not listening during Happy Bucks.
6. Marble Game is an opportunity for members to purchase one or more tickets at a price of $1 per ticket for a drawing to be held during opening activities.  If your ticket is selected, you get a chance to pull one marble from a container and get your $1 back.  If you pull the black marble from the container, you win the amount of money in the drawing pot.
    

Birthdays & Anniversaries:

            $1.00   will have all members sing.

            $2.00   will provide no singing.

            $3.00   allows you to select who will sing.  It can be one member or more. 
                           A selected member can buy his/her way out of singing by matching the $3 or more.

           This can create a bargaining  process, but in the end it will cost some members more than $3.

We meet twice a month: *subject to COVID mitigations* Please check our Facebook page for any announcements due to weather &/or other emergencies.

Membership Dues:

1. Our Board of Directors approved additional new member fees will be provided by our Kiwanis Club.  All potential new members need to complete an application sheet, and be approved by our Club’s Board of Directors.
2. Current annual membership dues are $160.  If it helps, you can pay the dues in quarterly payments of $40 by cash or check.  Sorry, credit or debit cards aren’t an option at this time.

New Kiwanis Member Support Materials:

            1.   Kiwanis International’s “Where One Began” brochure.

            2.   Provide “Six Objects” of Kiwanis in brochure.

            3.   Provide Kiwanis International’s tri-fold brochure “Serving the Children of the World.”

            4.   Provide a copy of our Club’s tri-fold brochure.

            5.   Provide new member with a copy of various Kiwanis committee opportunities. 

            6.   Encourage new member to identify which standing committee he/she would like to serve on.
